More Than Just A Place To Sit

A patio is a place to sit, relax and enjoy company of family and friends.  It stands to reason that what you are sitting on plays a vital role in that scenario.

When choosing a garden patio set make sure that the cushions are removable and washable.  Being able to wash them will keep them looking good year round and being able to remove them allows you to change up the style if you are so inclined.

High density foam, on the other hand, is better for indoor applications such as a sun room or screened in porch.  The foam can soak in water and cause mold and decay if not properly dried.   High density foam is also fairly rigid.  This may not be very comfortable and tends to compress over time.  If it compresses too much the cushion will need to either be replaced or refilled.

If you buy replacement garden furniture cushions you should take care to measure you chairs precisely.  You do not want the cushions to be too large or small. 

A cushion that is too large will hang over the side and not only look bad but will wear out faster.  A cushion that is too small will be very uncomfortable to sit on and may flatten out over time as it spreads to cover the space it is placed in.
